In early July I stood on the shores of the lake with my husband and smiled as I bit into a sub sandwich we’d brought with us. There is something special about watching the waves roll in on a lazy July evening. The sun sparkled and the seagulls wandered ever closer. I knew then that I wanted to come home and draw the waves we watched that evening.
